East Yorkshire Rally - For Further Details

Dales Gathering and Spring Rally
Grassington Town Hall
Saturday, 9 May 2026
On behalf of the Committee of the North East Region, you are invited to join in our Spring Rally, 2026, which will be held at Grassington Town Hall.  Doors will open at 9.30 am and ringing will commence at 10.30 am.  The Rally will end at 5.00 pm.

This year the committee have decided not to have a specific “theme” but invite teams to play their “Team Favourites”. Also, the massed ringing pieces have been chosen from the extensive collection of music played at previous “Dales Gatherings”.
The spring rally is a welcome opportunity for us all to hear teams in the region so please make every effort to attend; it would be lovely to see you in the Yorkshire Dales.

Teams will have the opportunity to perform one item in each of the two main sessions, but if you would like to play an additional item if time allows, then please indicate this on the application form.  Please, as always, make sure that you are aware of copyright issues (if you are unsure, look at the HRGB Guidance section on the HRGB website).

There will be some space and spare bells for individuals to join in the massed ringing, so even if you are not attending with your team, please do come along; you will be made very welcome!

PLEASE NOTE - This venue is Not 'Dog Friendly'

There will be four Massed Ringing pieces ‘Hebridean Suite’ - arranged by Wendy Swain,  ‘Waltz La Sarabande' - arranged A Ellis, 'Tritsch-Tratsch Polka' - by Johann Strauss arranged - by Vaughan Evans and 'Reflections by Michael Cole. Please note that all these pieces have been performed previously so teams may have copies in their music collection.

It is hoped that these four pieces will offer something for ringers of all abilities and teams of all sizes.

The music for Massed Ringing will be emailed to you as a PDF when your application is received – please make sure you indicate which PDF you require.
Grassington is a popular venue and space is limited, so please send your booking in early.  There will be some space and spare bells for individuals to join in the Massed Ringing.

As in previous Rallies, there will be hot and cold drinks and cakes available for sale.  There will be no meals provided, so it is suggested that members bring a packed lunch or visit one of the many cafes in Grassington for a meal at lunchtime.  We would be grateful for contributions of a cake from each team and also for raffle prizes (but please note that we are unable to accept donations of alcohol and please make sure that what you contribute is in date!).
Please complete the online Application Form following the link below by the 3 May 2026.
Payment can be made by online transfer to Account No: 27632690, Sort code: 05-02-37.
Please make sure that you add your team name as a reference.
