Northern Bell Orchestra
The Northern Bell Orchestra is an advanced handbell ensemble which provides the opportunity
to develop your handbell ringing skills in an environment different to your local team.
The NBO performs under the direction of Kate Sawallisch with associate director Robert Pettener.
It currently performs with up to three x five octave sets of bells
together with chimes and, occasionally, other instruments.
The season runs from September through to the following June
with usually two concerts at the end of season.
Rehearsals are held monthly at mostly at Ashover Parish Hall in North Derbyshire
and the schedule for the current season is:

13 June - Hessle Concert to celebrate the life of the late Louise Cowton
27 June - in Hoole, Chester, to celebrate NBO's 20th Anniversary Concert
11 July - Open Day for previous members. Rona will be organising the invitations.

Also, NBO will be organising the Diamond Jubilee event in Harrogate 9th to 11th April 2027.
